VISITE GUIDÉE "FAUGÈRES AU FIL DES PIERRES ET DES MOULINS"

From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: Guided tour “Faugères: A Journey Through Stones and Mills,” led by Sarah Collado, a tour guide and lecturer.
The tour takes you from the village to the mills and then back to Faugères, connecting the village’s history, dry-stone construction, the mills, and their surrounding environment.
Itinerary:
Departure from Place Sardinoux (parking available)
Stroll through the medieval streets of Faugères: medieval and Protestant history, houses and porches, the church and temples.
Ascent to the mills via the Chemin des Muletiers
Presentation on the history and use of the mills, with an interpretation of the landscape
Descent to the village via the Chemin de la Marbrère to explore dry-stone construction and the capitelles.
Return to the village and the cars
The tour will cover daily rural life, the use of local resources, the construction and use of mills and dry-stone structures, as well as pastoralism in the 18th and 19th centuries and the advent of viticulture.
