Paris, 1928. Since his wife’s death, the painter Antoine has been unable to create. During a fake séance, he meets Suzanne, a young carnival worker posing as a medium. With the help of Antoine’s gallery owner, she keeps up the charade—until she falls in love with the man she’s deceiving.
