Gabian
The village of Gabian is ideally situated between the magnificent Château-Abbaye de Cassan and the famous Faugères crus.
This circulade is located at the confluence of the Thongue and Lène rivers and was sheltered by a moat. Its Resclauze spring supplied Béziers with water thanks to its catchment and Roman aqueduct. Later, in 1605, the first source of oil in France was exploited here: the Font de l'Oli. An oil deposit was subsequently exploited until the Second World War. Nowadays, it's a village where life is good and where you can enjoy hiking in the middle of the valleys and garrigues.
