En Languedoc, on ne naît pas grand vin, on le devient

119 of the 531 communes that make up the Languedoc appellation are in the Hérault region. This regional appellation allows a diversity of wines to be produced, depending on the terroir, each with its own distinct character. The wines produced are highly varied, ranging from fruity (to be drunk young) to robust, with recognised ageing potential.
